Since switching to organic farming in 2019, feeding on the farm has been fully automated. This ensures that the animals receive the best hay and organic concentrate feed tailored to their needs—completely stress-free and creating a calmer atmosphere in the barn.

The automatic milking station allows the cows to decide when they want to be milked. This leads to a relaxed and balanced daily routine in the barn and contributes to a calm, especially animal-friendly environment.

Located at 1,300 meters above sea level, the farm not only offers impressive views but also ideal conditions for nature-friendly farming. The fresh mountain air, alpine climate, and quiet location shape life here—a place where humans and animals live in harmony with nature.

The farm is now run in its third generation, a testament to lived continuity and deep connection to the land. Over decades, knowledge has been passed down, nurtured, and enriched with new ideas—in the spirit of family and nature.

The Lichtenstern farm has existed since 1951, when Anna and Johann acquired it along with the “Trattoria Stella.” Since then, the farm has been managed with great dedication and passion—deeply rooted in the region and shaped by a long family tradition.
