Satzinger Manfred

Manfred is a farmer through and through. With great dedication, he runs his farm part-time, tends the steep meadows, cares for the animals, and lives in harmony with nature. Supported by his family and rooted in tradition, he manages the farm with passion and a strong sense of responsibility – down-to-earth, close to nature, and forward-thinking.

Manfred’s meadows are so steep that in some places they can only be mowed by hand. This demanding work requires strength, skill, and a great deal of experience. It highlights just how challenging farming in mountain terrain can be.

His father actively helps out on the farm. With his experience, he supports him and takes on many important tasks. His contribution is a valuable part of daily farm life – and a wonderful example of true intergenerational solidarity.

Six family members live on the farm. Together, they cultivate the land, care for the animals, and share the daily tasks. Each person contributes their own strengths and experience, making the farm a vibrant place of togetherness. This close cooperation unites the family and shapes their everyday life.

Manfred’s farm is located at 1,045 meters above sea level. At this altitude, both people and animals enjoy fresh mountain air, wide-open views, and a special kind of tranquility. The location also shapes daily life on the farm – with an alpine climate, distinct seasons, and ideal conditions for nature-friendly farming.

Manfred keeps six cows and two calves. With great dedication, he cares for the animals every day, provides them with feed, and ensures their well-being. His small herd supplies fresh milk and contributes to sustainable farming on the farm – in harmony with nature and tradition.
